How To Use
Because WELL EMBODIED Bottoms Up Beans are so potent you can use less than you would of roasted coffee (1-2 TBS of Bottoms Up Beans vs 3-4 TBS of roasted beans). If you’re already an experienced coffee enema aficionado, you’ll notice our Bottoms Up Beans feel much "smoother" and less acidic.
Preparing your Coffee:
1. For an enema, simmer 1-2 TBS organic MOULD FREE, GREEN coffee beans in 3 cups of filtered water for 10-15 minutes.
2. Depending on desired strength / level of detox tolerated / needed, it’s best to start with 1TBS and gradually increase, particularly if you are in early stages of your health journey.
While it’s simmering prep your enema spot:
- A yoga mat and towel on the bathroom floor works well. Pop a box of tissues and a bottle / jar of coconut or olive oil (a little pump bottle makes for easy use!) by your mat.
- Before straining the coffee into your enema kit, make sure the clasp on the tube is CLOSED.
- Strain the coffee into an enema pot / bag and top up with room temp / cool filtered water to make a total of 500ml -1.5L liquid (again, if you are new to enema’s, start with the smaller volume and build up if / as needed). Check the temperature is not hot and not cold: when you pop your finger into the coffee for 5-10 seconds it shouldn’t feel warm (or cold) – just body temperature. This is very important to prevent burns (or unpleasantness from cold)! If you have the desired volume but it’s still too hot, either let it sit to cool or add some filtered water ice cubes to cool it down quickly.
- Then enema as usual and enjoy your coffee!

For a tonic drink simmer 1-2 tsp of ground green coffee beans in 250ml – 300ml filtered water for 10 minutes, then add any other ingredients you desire (e.g. collagen powder, Tremella mushroom powder... etc....) or let it cool and add it to a smoothie.
Cleaning your kit:
- After each use, clean your kit by rinsing out with and then running hot soapy water through the entire tube (and catheter tube) for 30 seconds with the bucket held up high (to increase the pressure / flow of the water) over a bath tub / shower recess or sink. Then rinse with non-soapy hot water.
- Disconnect the catheter tube or nozzle, hang the tub and the kit in a way that prevents any pooling of water. Pooling of water in the tube can result in mould / bacterial growth. No one wants this!
- If you haven’t used your kit for a while, boil your catheter tube or nozzle in a pot of water for 5 minutes. To ensure no mould or bacteria in your tube, first check for visible signs (if there is visible mould it is best to replace your tube). If there are no visible signs, first run some hot sopay water through the kit and tube. Then use WELL EMBODIED Alkaline Mineral Drops to disinfect the kit and tube. Add 2ml (2 dropper fulls) of Alkaline Mineral Drops to 100-200ml of water. Pour into the kit, allow it through to the end of the tube, then clamp the tube to keep the solution in there for 10 minutes before flushing hot water through the kit and tube. It’s then ready for use.
